The changing workforce, marketing performance metrics, and AI: Marketing Expedition Podcast

Hey there! In today's world, everything is becoming more complex, and being a generalist is no longer enough to run a successful project.

But don't worry, we've got some great insights to share. Tim Partasevich, CMO of HR tech product Juggl, joined the Marketing Expedition podcast to discuss the changing workforce and ways to measure marketing performance.

Tim has helped many companies apply better sales and marketing processes and achieve their revenue goals and scale. In the podcast, he shared various ways to measure marketing performance, inject AI into your processes and run a better team.

Measuring Marketing Performance

To improve your search engine rankings, it's important to understand how these algorithms work. They determine which websites rank in Google higher than others. Many factors come into play, including:

  • the quality of content
  • the relevance of the content to the search query
  • the user experience of the website
  • the website's authority and credibility
  • the use of keywords and meta tags

Search engine optimization and paid ads

One effective way to improve your search rankings is through search engine optimization (SEO). That involves optimizing your website's content, structure, and code to make it more appealing to search engines.

This can include things like conducting keyword research to determine which keywords and phrases are most relevant to your business.

Then you follow the next steps:

  1. Incorporate keywords into your content
  2. Optimize your website's loading speed
  3. Create high-quality backlinks to your website from other authoritative websites
  4. Use social media to promote your content and increase your online visibility

Another way to improve your search rankings is through paid search advertising, such as Google AdWords. With paid search, you can bid on keywords and phrases that are relevant to your business. So your ads will appear at the top of search engine results pages when someone searches for those keywords.

Paid search can be a great way to quickly increase your online visibility and drive more traffic to your website. But it can also be expensive. So it's important to monitor your return on investment (ROI) carefully.

Ultimately, the key to improving your search rankings is to provide high-quality content. The relevance predefines the quality of your content. Does it meet the needs of your target audience?

Your blog should be engaging, informative, and create real for customers. This is how to build your online reputation and authority. Only after that you'll attract more traffic to your website and improve your search rankings over time.

Expert teams and the role of AI in marketing

Another marketing piece of advice - gather a team of experts rather than a group of generalists. Today, AI platforms can support basic marketing functionality, so there is no need to hire a person for routine work.

Marketing teams that lack designers can generate basic illustrations with AI. However, it doesn't apply to all roles.

The copywriting capability of AI is not great. But it can generate different ideas for content that a copywriter can rewrite.

So it's worth using human intelligence alongside artificial intelligence. Still, there is a concern about deep fakes and the potential for impersonation lawsuits arising from copyright infringement.

To ensure your expert team moves in the right direction, get a good data analyst. Their mission here is to help you make wise decisions and caution against blindly jumping on the hype train.

Let's take for example popping-up markets like NFT and cryptocurrency. A few years ago they created a lot of buzz. But in fact, very few companies are still around. Data analysts could give a clearer understanding of what industry, branch, or product will bring you value.

Remote hiring and new rules of the game

The rise of remote work during the pandemic has brought significant changes to the traditional working model. It's allowing businesses to hire the best talent beyond their locale.

Despite some big companies mandating a return to the office, small and midsize businesses are still fighting for the top candidates.

Today, flexible work is key for employers to attract the right talent. That's why remote work is likely to become a new norm for small and midsize businesses and some positions in larger companies.

The next two years will show which roles will be suited for remote work.

How to adapt remote work

The Juggl platform is made to equip you. It helps to connect international talent and install remote work from anywhere.

The Juggl platform provides HRs with an automated backbone of the international talent pipeline. You can run every process without jumping from one system to another.

The team behind Juggle assembles remote teams for over a decade and wanted to digitalize the process to better serve their clients. For that reason, Juggl also allows outsourcing of some parts of recruitment like interviewing and labor law compliance in different countries.
